Saving the newsroom
In Uncategorized on September 3, 2008 at 6:37 amI’ve thought a lot about how to preserve what’s essential and right about journalism in America — specifically, investigative journalism, that hound dog, shoe-leather, waist-deep-in-the-muck staple — in the evolving new economy. All of the newspapers I worked at (seven, in total) have either reduced staff, been sold off, or folded.
No answers yet, but some folks are asking the right questions.
